Christmas brings out the baking side of all of us… doesn’t it?   I love Christmas traditions, like cookie-baking, and so do the kids.   These are my favorite last-minute Christmas cookies (or any-time Christmas Cookies.)  I’ve made a list of my top 10 easy Christmas cookie recipes make this Christmas.

We like to bake for friends before Christmas, but we also bake on Christmas day… it’s one of our favorite Christmas Morning Traditions for families.

10 easy Christmas Cookie Recipes

These cookies will be quick & easy to make, so you can still have delicious (and adorable) cookies while spending time on the things that matter most: time with family & friends. 

1– Nutter Butter Snowmen

These cookies take only a few ingredients & they are the most adorable little treats!  Everyone will “ow” and “aw” over these little Nutter Butter Snowmen!

2- Peppermint Chocolate Cookies

If you are looking for a perfectly easy  & tasty treat, this is it.  It combines chocolate with mint to give you the perfect Holiday flavor of ‘peppermint & cocoa”! 
These are also the perfect gift.  Just put the ingredients in a mason jar and add these adorable little holiday tags (print them for free) and you’re all set for the sweetest present.

3. Pretzel Buttons

Now, these aren’t cookies, but they are perfect for any holiday party or cookie exchange.    Just plan to make about 12-24 per person.  These take minutes to make & they will be a favorite for everyone!  

Christmas Tip: When making these pretzel buttons for Christmas, just swap out the red & pink candies for red & green M&M’s.

4. Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars

These are my family’s favorite treat!   They are so good – seriously!  You are going to want to make these over & over again.   They are super easy to make, too!

5.   Three-ingredient cake box cookies

These cookies are my favorite.  Not only are they so easy (with only three ingredients – including a box of cake mix!)… but they are so delicious.   
Seriously…  there is a reason I saved them for last.  Once you’ve had these,  you won’t want to make anything else!

6. Christmas Santa Hats

These cupcake Santa hats are adorable & as sweet as can be!  You could keep them as cupcakes as I did, or you can easily do this on a Sugar Cookie!

These aren’t cookies, but they are Christmas themed and so much fun!   Plus- they are easy!

8. SOFTEST chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

These chocolate chip cookies are a recipe from my husband’s grandma.  They have a ‘secret ingredient’ that makes them so chewy!   Trust me, you’ll want to eat these every day…

9. Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Do you want the same recipe,  but with a little bit of a healthier twist?  These chocolate chip cookies are so good – you won’t even notice that they are better for you. 😉  Trust us!

All in all, remember that the important part isn’t how the cookies look or how they taste, but instead how much fun you had making them and how much love was put into them.

  1. Becky!! As usual your posts are always so appreciated!! Growing up we knew a family that spent a full weekend make tons of Christmas cookies to freeze and share with neighbors!! I love those cookie flavors still because of the memories that they bring!!
    So I’m especially excited to try some of these recipes and introduce new flavors and cookie fun to our family!!
