One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is making our favorite family recipes together.  I am a big believer that cooking should be a family affair, especially during the holiday season. That’s one of the reasons I love this Baked Biscuit Wreath Dip recipe; it’s not only delicious, with its ooey-gooey cheeses, but it’s easy to make so the kids can get involved in the cooking fun.

I grew up cooking in the kitchen with my mom.  It didn’t matter what we were cooking; we just enjoyed the time together.  I have continued that tradition with my family. Whether we are baking cookies as a family or only two of us are getting dinner on the table, we spend time together in the kitchen creating amazing memories.  The heart of this recipe is adapted from a spinach dip I made with my mom every year for Thanksgiving.

My mom’s original recipe was served in a pumpernickel bread bowl.  Delicious! But over the years, I’ve tweaked things a bit using different cheese combinations and, to make it more festive, started baking the dip in a wreath made of biscuits.  Oh yes! It’s like a cross between a bread bowl and a pull-apart with a mouth-watering gooey center.

I was able to nail the PERFECT cheesy combination using the creamy and delicious Mozzarella Borden® Cheese Thick Cut Shreds and sliced Borden® Cheese Gouda.  I love cooking with the Borden® Cheese Thick Cut Shreds. These cheese shreds are wider making them ideal for melting and provide that extra creamy coverage that makes this dip (or anything else you make with it) simply irresistible.

Baked Biscuit Wreath Dip shows up on the appetizer table every holiday – it’s just that good!  This recipe is so simple to make, and you can use whatever combination of cheese you prefer, but I will say that it’s the quality of the cheese you use that makes all the difference.

That’s why I love using Borden® Cheese in my recipes.  For generations, its creamy deliciousness has been crafted using high-quality, wholesome ingredients and a whole lot of love and care.

And because my friends at Borden® Cheese know that the heart of the holidays is in the kitchen, they are gifting $5,000 to five lucky winners through the Borden Love Your Kitchen Sweepstakes to go towards a kitchen makeover just in time for the holiday.

Entering couldn’t be easier! Visit SouthernLiving.com/BordenLoveYourKitchen for the opportunity to win a holiday kitchen makeover. The sweepstakes runs from Thursday, November 1 through Friday, November 30.

MAKE MEMORIES IN THE KITCHEN WITH YOUR FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON ♥

Flaky biscuits hold this amazing cheesy dip together and help to create the perfect holiday appetizer your whole family will love.

Six simple ingredients are all you need to make this family favorite.

Baked Biscuit Wreath Dip Recipe

Start by separating the biscuits and rolling each into a ball.

Place the rolled biscuits inside an oven-proof skillet or pie plate with the seam side facing down. Arrange biscuits in a circle around the skillet or pie plate.

Brush each biscuit with olive oil, sprinkle lightly with kosher salt and Italian seasoning

Then in a large bowl, add the Mozzarella Borden® Cheese Thick Cut Shreds, sliced Borden® Cheese Gouda, cream cheese, mayonnaise, spinach, salt, and garlic powder and mix.

I prefer to use a hand-held mixer on medium speed to combine the ingredients. The ingredients come together quickly and using the hand-held mixer makes mixing easier when the kiddos are helping.

Spoon dip into the center of biscuit ring. If you have any extra dip mixture, spread in a small oven-safe baking dish and bake at the same time as the wreath. Check out those delicious Borden® Cheese Thick Cut Shreds in there just ready to melt into creamy goodness.

Bake until biscuits are golden brown, and center is bubbly and warmed through, about 25-30 minutes. This dip is best served hot or warm along with the tender biscuits.

I like to serve any extra dip with crackers or baguettes alongside the Baked Biscuit Wreath Dip. Trust me, this dip goes quickly, and you’ll be glad you had the extra on hand!
