I’ve talked about it before, how our kids want to snack constantly. I will make a huge dinner and 3 minutes after they eat, they are hungry (which is why I partnered with Dole today to bring you this post!)
Here’s an example of our dinner-time routine…

To combat this question, I have started saying… YES! (I know… you are thinking “what?!”) Yep… I say yes.
There is just a little catch. lol! Didn’t you know that it was going to come with a catch? My only rule is that it has to be fruits or vegetables. I keep both on hand. I stop at the store and pick up a veggie tray and about 10 boxes of Fruitocracy, all all-natural fruit puree from DOLE (they are about $2.79 a pack, but this week they were even lower at Wal-mart so I stocked up with 20 boxes! You probably think I’m kidding… I’m
It’s funny, because while Allie has been eating applesauce pouches since she was a baby, Jack simply refused. He is 9 and think that it must be for babies, because Allie had it as a baby. Then I saw Fruitocracy in the store & I knew that it would be a hit!
The packages are really bright & vibrant and they look like something a creative tween would like… and he does! (woo-hoo for brands that understand what a tween wants!) So, for the fruit I grab so many boxes, because each of the kids like different ones.
Jack – he likes Apple and Apple Pineapple.
Beau- Apple Banana
Ethan- Apple Mixed Berry & Apple Cherry
Allie- Apple Strawberry
Just for fun… a few more pictures of the boys acting like… themselves… (I took these today right after lunch when the Ethan and Jack were “SO HUNGRY”.)

For the vegetables, I either grab a veggie tray for around $10.00 at Sam’s Club or I just cut up my own:
Anyway- this has turned into a win-win situation. I’m winning because the kids are eating extra fruits and vegetables. The kids are winning because they are having a snack that they love. In the end, everyone is happy and no one is complaining. 🙂
