“Mommy? My throat hurts.” Poor thing… I knew just what she meant. The sore throats can come when your child has a fever or a call… or it can happen all by itself, but either way, it is uncomfortable.
“It hurts when I talk and when I wake up.” I felt exactly the same way, so I also knew just how much it hurt. Luckily, my mom was a nurse for many years, which has allowed me to be able to figure out when something is just a cold and when it is more. I’ve also noticed that it happens more often in the spring

It looks so beautiful outside and the kids are excited to play in the warm weather… if only those colds, bug bites & sniffles could stay away! Today, I am partnering with Lolleez too share my favorite foods to help your family feel better.
1. Use Lolleez, organic throat soothing lollipops for kids! The biggest thing we’ve noticed about runny noses (other than the constant reminder from mom to “blow your nose”) is that post-nasal drip shortly follows. With post-nasal drip comes sore throats. 🙁 I always feel awful when our kids have sore throats and I can’t help them… well – now I can. 🙂
Lolleez are organic, worry-free, throat soothing lollipops for kids.
Lolleez are made from USDA Certified Organic ingredients and ingredients you can pronounce and understand, like organic honey and natural fruit pectin. They are also Non-GMO as well as gluten, dairy and nut free.
Lolleez are made in a worry-free shape that are flat and on a stick versus a round ball, which is a potential choking hazard. I am the queen of worrying about choking, so this was a huge relief for me.
You can tell that they were developed by a parent. It’s actually a great story: Two years ago, when the mom of four kids and health coach, Melissa Evans’ daughter came down with a sore throat, she wished there was something she could provide to soothe her and put a smile back on her face. That’s when she noticed there were no options that she felt comfortable with. Cough drops and lozenges posed a risk for choking and, for the most part, contained chemicals like artificial colors, flavors, and ingredients. So, she came up with a great alternative: Lolleez. 🙂
The best part is that the kids (and adults) love the flavor: Watermelon, Strawberry & Orange Mango. They taste so good & they make the kids (and adults) throats feel so much better.
Soft, easy to swallow and filled with vitamins!
3- Chicken Noodle Soup:
We’ve heard a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down. Well, a spoon full of honey helps the soreness go away. Plus, I feel better giving this to the kids because it is all-natural.
5- Steamed Carrots
Just like bananas, they are soft (when they are cooked) and are filled with vitamins.
6- Ice Cream.
It numbs the throat since it is so cold and it is easy to swallow because of the texture.
Same concept as ice cream. You can make your own with this recipe:
I hope that you feel better after trying some of these foods.
