There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything we need to get done… 24 hours seems to fly by when you are volunteering, working, or just snuggling with your sweet kids!

Here are some of our favorite pieces of advice to help you get things done.

(1) Eating right can make a big difference.   Seriously.  When I eat well, I feel better.  The old saying is true… you are what you eat  (ps- right now I must be super sweet because I just finished a piece of chocolate cake…)

(2) Find a morning routine that works best for you.

(3) Start writing things down in order to help you get more accomplished.  Make a to-do list and check it off as you go.  You will feel so much better getting it out of your mind and onto some paper!

(4) Ten minutes can be exactly what you need to accomplish more.  She spends at least 10 minutes per day working towards her biggest goals for the year.

(5) Plan ahead by creating freezer meals.   I love to make them once a week when I can.

(6) Let go of extra pressure that is added on.  Seriously!  Don’t sweat the small stuff- it will just stress you out!  Don’t set deadlines where they don’t need to be and don’t say yes to everything just because you hate to make people feel bad (that one is hard, I know!)

(7) Put together your own weekly planner to help stay organized.   You can even print off these monthly cleaning planning sheets here:

(8) Batch your tasks together.

(9) Create a plan of action the night before.   I love to write out what we are going to do the next day!

(10) Divide your list into different segments depending on the type of task.

(11) Set your phone aside and relax.   You will get more done with less distraction when you don’t have you phone with you… but then extend that and relax without it nearby, too.

(12) Come up with systems, like making your lunch the night before, to help streamline things.

(13) Finding accountability can be useful as you try to be more productive.

(14) Write things down in a visible location.   I love to keep mine on my calendar (I’ll tape my to-do list right on the calendar)

(15) Learn how to clean efficiently and quickly.  Here is a room-by-room cleaning guide.

(16) Get ready for your day in the morning.

(17) Creating a meal plan rids you of the extra stress and allows you to eat more (and healthier) at home, instead of always eating out because you haven’t had a chance to plan your meals.

(18) Assign timelines to what you hope to do.  It will make you more productive if you have goal-dates.

(19) Set the timer.  We do this every night!

(20) Create a master list so that all the ideas in your brain are out on paper.   To-do lists will become your best friend.

(21) Get a good nights rest.   Seriously- it matters.  Your mind will be more clear and you will feel better.  Use these hacks to help.

(22) Do one thing at a time.   Do not move onto #2 on your to-do list until #1 is done… moving too quickly is the key to failing at your to-do list.

(23) Look at your goals for the week as you plan your day.   You don’t want to waste your time, so use it wisely.

(24) Figure out what you do not do.  Maybe it is as simple as “I don’t go out on the weeknights”.  Whatever it is, it is your reason, so feel good about sticking to it to make your life easier.

(25) Use these morning hacks to get ready for your day!  Make the most of it!

  1. These are great and really needed right now. I feel like nothing is getting done and it’s very overwhelming.
