This Leaf counting activity for preschoolers is so much fun!
Our kids are always learning!
We can teach them all day long! Here is a fun activity for your preschoolers to help them with math, fine motor skills and it gives them a fun craft at the same time.
Here is a leaf counting activity to do with your little ones. To start the activity, head outdoors to collect some leaves and small sticks. You will also need glue, paper and a marker for the activity.
After we collected our leaves and sticks, I wrote, “There are _____ leaves in my pile” on the piece of paper. Then, the kids glued their leaves in a pile on the bottom of the paper.
The kids counted the leaves in their pile and I wrote that number on the empty line. To build the rake, we glued the small sticks in a rake shape on the leaves.
I love an activity that incorporates “hunting” for your supplies. Being outside to collect leaves and sticks was the best part of the activity. The kids are anxiously waiting for enough leaves to fall so we can rake them into big piles and jump in them!! Me too ;-)!

This is a cute idea! My son is really into counting right now and loves leaves. Too bad we haven’t really reached “fall” yet here in Georgia!
