Hi there!
I’m Becky, a former elementary school teacher turned certified child development therapist and blogger. I work at home with my husband and together we are raising (and partially homeschooling) our four children in the Carolinas. I love diet coke, ice cream, and spending time with my family.

Thanks for sharing all this information in one place!
I agree strongly with you.
We have had a bedtime routine since my daughter was 8 weeks she’s now 10, and my son was 10 weeks he’s now 8.
My son (age 8) goes to bed on a school night at 7 and 7:30 on a Friday and Saturday night he will also sleep 13 hours straight no problem.
My daughter (age 10) goes at 7:30 on a weekday and 8:30 on a Friday and Saturday night she will also sleep 13 hours,
My children have never been in my bed (only when poorly) they have their own beds!!
They don’t get out of their beds at all and are hi HEV at school and I’m always praise on their good manners and behaviour.
I don’t regret ever setting this in place even when an old friend said I should let them stay up (she now has her own children and I’ve heard they don’t sleep and are up at 5:30 every morning she was lax on bedtime routine!!!)
I will give my children the best start to life and showing them that sleep is important will help them when they go on to have children.
Yes… I’ve always heard that ‘sleep begets sleep’ and I couldn’t agree more!
