The other night, I was exhausted.  I had had a busy day of playing with the kids, working and grocery shopping/prepping meals for the week.   I was ready to just hop in the tub & take a long, relaxing, hot bubble bath… Bath Time for Mom.
I got the kids ready for bed.  We had dinner (check out my menu plan to see our weekly meals) and we gave the kids their bath.   It was a quick one, because they were as tired as we were!   Everyone was in the pajamas and into bed when it was my turn to take a bath… you know- that relaxing bath that I talked about…

Bath Time for Mom

Yep- that is real life.  This is what it looks like to get a bath.    We’ve got bath paint, bath toys, toys that don’t belong in the bath, shampoo, tea kettles (doesn’t everyone like to use those to rinse their hair?), superheros, puffs, cups, plastic eggs…  I’m pretty sure that you could find just about anything in our bathtub!

Yes, I was too exhausted to even take everything out, drain it, etc… but instead, I just ran my water right around the toys and hopped right in.   Toys and all.    If you read my post from yesterday, about how four kids have made me carefree, this would be a good example.   Why not just roll with the punches?    Kids rushed for bedtime?   Skip taking the toys out.  Mom too tired to do it later?   Just go with it. 😉

Hope you liked this little sneak peek at real life… from one mom to another.

PS… the next day I woke up & did my 7 day declutter challenge.   I love getting rid of clutter!
