Oh boy… do I remember what you are going through.   I’ve trained four of my children.   However… there is one story that no one really knows.   I can remember when I was potty training one of our sons.  We had just started.  Day 1… “this is going to be easy!” I thought to myself.    Day one went well.   Easy, right?

Day two… I don’t even want to tell you this part, but get ready to cringe.    He got a stomach virus.   Yep.   In all it’s glory. Who knew that this was going to happen?   I didn’t know what to do.    ” I had done so well!   How do I stop?”  I thought.  SO… to make matters worse, I took a trip to my parent’s house, with my child in only underwear, with a stomach bug, unable to control his bowel movements.  I think I was partially crazy when my kids were babies.     My mom talked me out of thinking that potty training was a “be all-end all” and I went back to diapers.

A week later, we started again and had success.

Enter the next child…  When we potty trained another one of our kids, he had complete success until he would wear pants.   Every time I’d put pants on him, he would pee!   I just could not understand it!
Another child – peed the bed every night.   Every single night, without fail.
Another child – would not poop in the potty.   He would poop at naptime, in his diaper, but not on the potty.  I just swore that I was going to have a 9-year-old coming home from school to put on a diaper and poop (because I had heard of kids doing this!)   Luckily, with a few tricks I’d had up my sleeve, it didn’t last that long.

So, to say that I understand potty training is an understatement.  🙂

If you are want to talk about it, my dear friend Holly Homer and I are going be doing a live chat about potty training on March 14th (with a replay you can watch anytime).

Holly is a blogger, too, at Kids Activities Blog.com and she’s a good friend of mine.   She has three sons, so she’s gone through all of these potty training things, too… and she is hilarious, so her potty training stories crack me up.
Holly & I made a lot of things for you, too (like potty training tips, printables, sheets, activities for kids, etc…) so we will be sure to give those to you, too.   Everything helps.

  • We will be doing an hour of live potty-training talk/teaching/stories
  • We are going to be doing a live Q&A  so you can ask your most burning questions.
  • We will have a private forum so you can ask the questions without anyone seeing it but those in the group.
  • We will have a replay, so you don’t have to be there to see it & you can email me anytime with follow up questions, of course.
  • We will send you all of the goodies that we have made for you. 🙂

If you want to join us (and I hope that you do!) just sign up here.Brown sign with text on it.
