This week, two of my friends told me that their dogs had fleas and that the fleas had made their way into the house! Today I am sharing my best ideas on how to get fleas out of your house.
While that is uncomfortable for the dog, the worst part comes when the fleas get into your house… and on your family! Gross, right? It happens. When our childhood dog would get fleas, they would attack my brother. When we would go on vacation and be in an area where there were fleas, they would attack him. It was awful!
We had to stay on top of it and not let them get into the house at all. The same thing happens with our oldest son- if he is around fleas, he gets bit. Now I could be around them all day long and not get a single bite. I tell our son that they like him because he is so sweet!
Here are 5 ways to get rid of fleas:
1- WASH EVERYTHING! Was your blankets, rugs, upholstery, pet bedding. Anything that a flea could have touched- if you aren’t sure, wash it! If it can’t be washed, throw it away!
