Have you seen our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Ornaments?  I shared these homemade Christmas Ornaments a few years ago, but we made them again this week. It was just as much fun as the first time around!

I wanted to share the directions for these again today so you can make your own TMNT ornaments.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Ornaments:

One night our kids were looking through the toy magazine (one of the many toy magazines that we get in the mail during the holiday season) and they wanted a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Ornament and matching toy.

I told them that we could make our own ornament and so here we are…

What you need in order to make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Ornaments:

TMNT2
Cut 4 strips of felt for the bandanas over their faces.
TMNT 3

Take four of the green bulbs out of the package. tmnt1

Add a layer of glue in a circle…

TMNT 5

TMNT 6

Add your first strip of felt. TMNT 7

You can overlap it at the end.

TMNT 10

TMNT 11

Add glue to the back of the eye.

TMNT 12

Press it onto the felt. TMNT 13

That’s all there is to it.   Just repeat with each color…

After our kids, each took turns holding all four of the turtles…

The kids put them on the tree, in a group, so they could “watch the front door”. TMNT 20

  1. Oh wow. What a simple, yet totally fun ornament for kids! Even my young toddler would probably enjoy this will a little help from mom or dad. We haven’t decorated yet, but I’m putting this ornament on my to-do list. Especially great for the not-so-crafty-mom like…ahem, ME 🙂

    Have a great Thanksgiving,
    Lauren
