Summer and spring break are just around the bend— which means it’s time to start coming up with ways to keep our kids busy and entertained. Luckily, companies like Kiwico share my view that school break is a time for kids to relax and have time off from school, but I also know that it’s a wonderful time to teach them new things!  Subscription boxes for kids are perfect for summer – and KiwiCo Crates are their favorite.

We use summer to explore everything from geography to science. We read more, play more, explore more, experiment more, and inquire more.

I love finding fun, unique, and educational projects to do with our kids. It’s the reason that we started using KiwiCo’s Kiwi Crate subscription boxes, and it’s a way to teach new STEAM concepts in a fun way.

Trust me; they’ll be learning but won’t feel like they are “back in school” with these crates. As a mom, teacher, and affiliate of KiwiCo, I’ve learned so much about their crates, so I wanted to share them today so you can find the perfect kiwi crate for your child.

What is KiwiCo?

KiwiCo is a monthly subscription service that delivers STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) crates (boxes filled with activities) to your door on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, depending on which Kiwi Co crate you choose.

Hands-On-Learning

KiwiCo provides hands-on learning through crates that not only give our kids (and ourselves) the chance to experience & learn something new, but it is different, fun, and exciting. The crates are expertly designed and kid-tested, so you don’t need to worry about DIY projects that don’t quite work out.  With their monthly delivery (or bi-monthly), you can always count on finding ways to keep your children learning!

The crates are different each month. Each crate comes with the tools, materials, detailed kid-friendly instructions, and inspiration to explore that month’s project.

A review by Cara L, left on the KiwiCo website, touches on this exact point: “As a mother, the fact that everything is included in the kiwi crate is great– that we can open the crate and go with whatever activity, is a huge help. It is also so nice to quickly see what activities need more or less parental help and how messy they will be so we can choose what we can handle at that moment. They have been an amazing resource in our home.”

Khrista’s review is spot-on… “I find that Kiwi Co has the best variety! I ordered Kiwi Crates to give as gifts for younger kids, but at the same time, other kiwi crates make perfect gifts for teen boys and girls. While every kiwico box is great, I’d say that our favorite is the Tinker crate because all of our kids love it & learn from it.”

Elisha’s review touches on another point – that it’s a great way to spend time with your kids: “It’s a great way for parents to spend some time with their kids without using technology— not to mention it’s a great learning experience for both adults and children. Boxes have included so many different projects! We can’t wait to see what our boxes feature from month to month. I highly recommend it.”
