Valentines Day is upon us! Do you remember your first Valentines date? Mine was with my husband (we were 15 at the time) and I made him home made fortune cookies with sweet notes inside. His dog ate them. Yep.
It is around Valentines Day that most people start shopping for their first prom dresses! I remember going out the weekend after Valentines Day to buy mine.
I went to all four proms with my husband. We went to different schools, so we were able to go to two during our junior year and two more during our senior year. They were so much fun each time!
I loved buying dresses for our proms, too! I still love to shop and I can’t wait to buy prom dresses for our daughter one day! I wonder what the style will be when she is old enough to go?
My first dress was bought when my brother was a Penn State. I was visiting him one weekend, shopping around with my friend, and we came across the prettiest dress – it was pink with butterflies and I loved it! I can still remember trying it on and thinking that it was beautiful!
My next dress was black (I tended to go towards black dresses for almost all of my dances) and I loved it, too!
I still have all of my prom dresses and my formal-dance dresses (they are tucked away until our daughter is old enough to play dress up.) I can remember trying on a green dress of my Moms when I would want to dress up.
