How to transition to eating plant-based Superfoods…
About three years ago, our family started eating mostly plant-based foods. In fact, Mickey and I have been eating vegan for almost every meal. We will occasionally eat a non-vegan meal if we are out, but at home, we stick to a plant-based diet.
Why? Studies confirm that plant-based diets help you live longer.
It began when we started watching a television documentary about the health benefits of cutting out certain foods like meats, dairy, etc.
We learned about the importance of replacing them with plant-based foods. We were shocked by the studies, research, and statistics that surrounded these changes in diet: people that had started eating plant-based foods and were able to not only feel better but also support their body in an overall healing process.
Here are five ways that I went from Any-foods to Superfoods.
1. Learn About Foods
I had to do my research and learn about different foods. Mushrooms, superfoods, and adaptogens have been used for centuries and are well-known to be a very powerful plant with amazing ways to help you optimize your body.
They are known for energy-boosting qualities, making it the perfect way to jump-start your day. I suggest starting with Rritual Superfoods.
They are the first award-winning premium brand in the emerging function mushroom and adaptogenic superfood market.
Start in the morning by making coffee.
I find that it helps me focus – I can relax those other thoughts that are running through my head and just focus on what is important.

2. LEARN TO ENJOY COOKING
I didn’t love to cook, but I had to learn to love it. Luckily, Mickey did love to cook, so when he started learning about plant-based foods and recipes with me, it was much easier to incorporate them into our meals.
Your kitchen is your #1 tool on your journey to health and happiness. Bottom line.
You are not going to get healthy when restaurant food makes up the majority of your diet. Not going to happen.
Start somewhere and build from it every day. Get your hands on meal plans and cookbooks with really easy recipes, get to the store, and start.
Starting is always the hardest part. Once you start, you won’t regret it.
3. REMOVE AND ADD-IN
Begin to remove foods that make you feel bad. Pay especially close attention to these allergen foods and how they make you feel – wheat, dairy, caffeine, corn, sugar, peanuts, and soy.
Foods that contain allergens tend to cause problems for lots and lots of people. The majority of people in our country have food sensitivities to many foods on this list.
Food sensitivities show up in crazy ways – mind fog, rashes, bloating, gas, confusion, forgetfulness, stomach aches, IBS, seasonal allergies… you name it.
Once you have your recipes, you can begin to add things like fruit, seeds, or even Rritual Elixirs (a great alternative to prebiotics or probiotics).
As a vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and celiac option, they are great to mix with anything from water and coffee to smoothies or oatmeal. They are allergy and lifestyle-friendly with no sugar added.
Each elixir contains natural, dairy-free probiotic superfoods Inulin and Lucuma. These prebiotic & probiotic elixirs are high quality. They are wonderful for gut health, as they enhance nutrient absorption and strengthen your immune system.
NOTE: Prebiotics are special types of fiber that feed those probiotics so they can multiply and establish an ongoing presence in your digestive system.*
4. SUPPLEMENT YOUR HEALTH
Every morning, I not only start with breakfast, but I also take vitamins. Our son’s neurologist had told us about the importance of filling in any nutritional gaps.
He went into great detail about how much it changes your brain, gut health, and more.
I also use the Rritual Superfoods elixirs because each one contains the six mushroom powerhouse immune synergy blends: Reishi, Maitake, Shitake, Agaricus, Cordyceps, and Turkey Tail, plus acerola cherry powder – which has one of the highest vitamin C content of any fruit.
5. TAKE TIME FOR YOUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH
I know that this isn’t exactly food-related, but it is just as important. The reason that this is so important is that if you aren’t in a good mental and emotional state, you aren’t going to want to keep up with your new plan.
Make a new ritual for your day. It’s important to take time to work out and move your body. It is equally important to relax your body and mind.
Set your new *rritual in motion with Rritual Superfoods. It’s a great way to jump-start your new plan. Even though I have been eating this way for a while now, I still love the convenience of having these things on hand.
Start your day with focus and clarity. You end your day with relaxation and calmness. Use your time at the end of your day to de-stress, relax, and get the sleep that you need. Make yourself some tea, light a candle, and enjoy some downtime.
Once you make these changes, you will start to feel better. Take note of how you feel.
You have to know your body. You are responsible for it, no one else, and guess what? You only get one.
Think about that for a minute. You have to pay attention to how you feel physically and mentally after you eat certain foods.
Journal. Take notes. Pay attention to what you put in your body.
Don’t overthink it. Relax. Breathe. Enjoy seeing yourself grow and learn.
