Organize your home

A look into our daily life….

A drawing on a planner and a pencil with a clock above them.

To me, being organized & on top of things (household chores, bills, scheduling...)  was the way of life (as it was the way my Mom taught me & probably the way her Mom taught her).  This was my normal & now its my kid’s normal.  You have a schedule, you stick to it (that’s my Dad!), you TRY to keep your house neat & tidy and you take care of your family.   When I had our first son, 6 years ago, my Mom told me “You are staying home now, you your job will be to take care of the house & family.”  It was the best advice I ever got b/c I remind myself of it daily… this is MY JOB now.   I have tried to do that ever since & I do it to the best of my ability.  I am going to BEGIN to touch on some things that get my every day life in order & keep it that way!  🙂  I will try to post some pictures, as well.

I had found, in the past, that having any sort of mess in our house led to a sort of “mess” in my soul.  I felt uneasy, unhappy & just didn’t like it.  I like to have things neat & orderly.  My kids do the same- they clean up their things ( as much as any 2, 4 & 6 year olds will do!).  🙂 haha!   The best way to describe it is that it gives me a sense of freedom to do other things.  Did you ever notice that when you have clothes that need to be put away, you just keep thinking about it?  It haunts you.  Well, it does for me.  So why procrastinate when I can just get it done early & enjoy the rest of my day! 🙂   I follow the flylady.com  – she taught me how to get organized & stay that way with just 30 minutes a day or less.  Try it- you’ll love it!   Its an easy de-clutter & cleaning schedule that anyone can do… 10 kids or none.
