This year, I changed things up a bit.  I am going for a Seas and Greetings look with more Nautical Christmas Decor Ideas.  If you know anything about us, you know how my heart belongs to Hilton Head and how we have sand in our souls, so this won’t surprise you a bit.

First, I finally found a store, At Home (with everyday low prices), that carries just this: nautical Christmas decor – it is their Seas and Greetings collection and you can pretty much bet on all of it being in our home shortly!    So I went to At Home because it is near our house and my friend, Kristy, told me that they have At Home Christmas Decor for each room of the house (indoor and outdoor).

While I was there, I bought things for my mantel (which I am going to show you today), my dining room, our tree (they have over 101 varieties of Christmas Trees so I can certainly find the best Tree for Me ), the porch, etc…    They have 15 decorative themes, so I changed themes for each room, but Seas and Greetings is my favorite. So I walked in and this was immediately to my right… and I loved it!   A whole isle dedicated to nautical decor!

That NOEL sign stood out to me… The sand dollar for the O is beautiful, isn’t it?   It will remind me of my grandma (she lived in Hilton Head and loved the ocean) every time that I look at it.   I think that’s why it stood out to me in the store.  It reminded me of my mom, too.  She loves beach decor like I do (I am going back this week to buy one that says JOY with the sand dollar as the O.  It is white, but I keep thinking about it, so I am going to get it for my mom.) Oh!  And they are only $6.99!   That was the best part!

So.. you can guess where it is now:  (right on my mantel!) nautical christmas decor 8
I also bought this wreath, because it brought in the Sea, but also had greens on it to remind me of Christmas.  The perfect mix.  I didn’t even have to hang it up, but just placed it on our mantel and I love it.

Next, I saw this sign that said SEAS AND GREETINGS and had to buy it!   It is burlap, which is my favorite, in the blue that I love and it says SEAS with a sand dollar.  Yep- this has Becky written all over it. nautical christmas decor 5
Next, I saw these “trees” that are so beachy!  I put them on our back porch at first (picture below) but then quickly moved them inside because I knew that they would be the perfect match to my new mantel decor. IMG_8958nautical christmas decor 6
So… the before of our mantel: nautical christmas decor2
And the after with our Seas and Greetings from At Home: nautical christmas decor 7
Ps-  the duck (on the mantel) is a constant decoration there.  It is wooden (there is a little gold one, too) and it is from my grandparent’s house at the beach.  When they passed away, we brought them home to live at our house.

Which At Home Christmas decorative theme would you choose?  Do you think you’ll try a Seas and Greetings this year?

  1. I love the way nautical decor has sort of a beach appeal to it! I really like how you mixed the nautical feel with Christmas decor! I like that there are so many different options of you can decorate with with the nautical style! Thank you for sharing!

  2. ‘Seas and Greetings’, how clever! This isn’t a combination I would have expected but I love it. Thanks for sharing the ideas!
