I can relate to this one.  We had three boys before we had our daughter.   I always knew that we wanted four children.  After three boys, I was pretty sure that we would just have a family of boys. I was so surprised (and excited) to find out that our fourth child was a daughter.
(My husband and I were high-school sweethearts and we had loved the name Allie for a daughter ever since we were in high-school & college.  I had loved it ever since I had read The Notebook, so when I was 18 weeks along in my pregnancy, we knew that we would finally have “Our Allie”)

When I saw this video, I just laughed out loud with joy for this mom. How exciting for her and her brothers!

Cher Lair, a mother of six in Apex, North Carolina (not far from us), was so excited to learn she was finally having a girl that she fell to the floor during her gender reveal party on Monday. In the video, she even asks… “Are they kidding? Is this a joke?” when she saw pink inside the cake at her party!

Check it out for yourself…

“Initially, on baby three and four I’m thinking, ‘They’ll be a girl at some point. They can’t all be boys.’ But after four and five and six, you’re kind of thinking, ‘Yeah, they can.’

Surrounded by all of her sons, Lair cut into the gender reveal cake expecting a blue stripe denoting a boy, but was shocked to discover a pink girl stripe inside instead. Lair starts screaming when she sees the slice of PINK and falls to the floor in complete excitement! She told WVTD…

“We’re a boy house for sure. I want to have that mommy-daughter thing, to take her to Cinderella, for pedicures and manicures, and shop for a prom dress. I’ve wanted that.”
