make a racetrackMake a racetrack out of a shower curtain:

This is so simple and the kids can help you make it and it will keep them entertained for hours on end! (I even had this set up as a “Station” on our son’s birthday party.

Just buy a vinyl shower curtain – a cheap one will work fine. (check the Dollar Store or Wal-mart) A sturdier one will last longer.

Take two sharpies and tape them to a cup (if you want a wider road, use a wider cup)make perfectly spaced lines

Decide on a plan: what do you want to add?
A Farm & Zoo?003
A few of your favorite places? race track

Have fun! Let your kids help you color – I let mine use crayons. They also helped me to decide what we needed to add (fish at the lake, a swingset at the play ground).

It is fun & you can add so many things to it!! We currently have it set up next to a log cabin built out of lincoln logs and a farm by Fisher Price. They “drive” to these places & play there!

  1. Brilliant idea!!! We might try a track/town on an old sheet. LOVE making the equally spaced roads by taping writing instruments on a cup. So smart! Thank you!!
