I wanted to talk to you about the question that so many of my readers are asking me after they have read my Potty Train in 3 days post or my Potty Train in a Weekend ebook toilet paper or wipes?

Well, let’s talk about your bum! What weirds you out about most wipes? You aren’t opposed to using wet towelettes on your hands after a meal, so why use only toilet paper on your bum after you go? How did you feel after using the Cottonelle care routine?

Talking about bathroom habits can be embarrassing but you may be missing out on a better way to get clean. That’s why Cottonelle is partnering with Cherry Healey to get people to talk about the way they wipe.

So, when I get an e-mail or message asking “How do you handle cleaning without using a baby wipe?” The answer: “Use a flushable wipe! Without using both (toilet paper and a wipe), you really aren’t too clean, are you?”

This can be a funny subject- by funny, I mean that any ‘potty talk’ in our house gets tons of laughs (We have three sons!)    Our oldest boys would probably be laughing right now at the word “potty” if they were reading this. All that aside, I do encourage top cleanliness in our home and this is one way that they can accomplish that.

In our house, my husband has a specific toilet paper that I have to buy when I go to the store (Cottonelle). I can’t branch off to any other brand or he will certainly comment on it! Our kids have grown to be the same way, so its just easier to stick with what works. And- from the moment that I bought our first pack of flushable wipes, they were all hooked! haha!! (By the way, Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths are now available in a sleek,

newly designed, upright dispenser – making it easier for everyone to enjoy the clean and fresh feeling of the Cottonelle Care Routine.)

One thing that helps everyone in our family is to have them use the flushable wipes after using the toilet paper. (If you have just finished potty training, you will completely appreciate this gesture! It really does “clean up” so much better.)

  1. That’s not my brand of choice, but hubby’s. Interesting product here though

  2. I love these! I have tried other brands before but I need to try these! I love the container! Thanks for the review.

  3. I actually used the Cottonelle system on a road trip we took in July to Chicago. It was great to have it for the kids, especially in those gas station and rest stop bathrooms.

  4. I LOVE the flushable wipes. Toilet paper alone just isn’t that effective, especially in the hands of children whose anal hygiene isn’t a top priority.

  5. Won’t even pretend that I don’t love these. Everybody poops right? Well I like to be clean clean clean after I go, and these wipes are a regular part of my routine.

  6. I am glad my potty training days are a far away a and distant memory. I was fortunate in that all my children were able to train themselves when they were ready.

  7. On potty training: are there different techniques for wiping a baby girl than a baby boy? I can’t remember my mother teaching me how to wipe. This is bothering me, since I am now potty training a baby girl.

  8. Cottonelle makes me feel as soft as a babies bottom while being strong ,highly recommend
