Healthy Tacos Easy seasoning

A weekly hit (their favorite) is tacos. The key to this (for our family) is adding black beans.

They have a lot of nutrition & it is a great filler! Feeding a family of 6 requires a LOT of food! Sometimes I add the beans them right to the mix. Other times I puree them in my magic bullet so that they don’t notice them.

I also add in another can of diced tomatoes & any other pureed vegetable that I want to add. (anything I have here).

So I just brown the meat, add the taco seasoning (store bought or make your own- see recipe below):

DIY TACO SEASONING
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano

Add all of the other yummy ingredients (beans, veggies) & then I put out bowls with the toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, onions, sour cream, cheese).

PS- the beans & veggies are hidden & they don’t know about them. Don’t tell!
