As soon as our son was born, ten years ago, we were asked, “What would Jack like for Christmas?”  For the first few years, we would say nothing or something practical like diapers.    First off, the kids now simply can’t wait for The Great Big Toys”R”Us Book of Awesome to come and pick out a few new things for their Wish Lists, but we also pick out things for others.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Toys“R“Us for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Holidays are a great time to Get Inspired to help others.   In our house, each child gets to choose an angel from the Angel Tree at our church.  We let them choose the age, the gift & then they help to pick it out.   Usually, they grab the Toys”R”Us Big Book and start going through it.  They circle things that they want for themselves or for their angel.  If it is for themselves, they write their initial on it.  If it is for their angel, they don’t write a letter.

For our older boys, they use my phone to do this.  There is a new 2D scanning feature that makes it really easy.  You can create your Wish List right from the phone.

We shop at Toys”R”Us, because for every new item added to the Wish List through November 19, 2016, they will donate $1 to Toys for Tots (up to $100,000).    So while we are helping out locally, they are helping out, too as #GivingIsAwesome.  How great is that?!
