Here are my favorite 10 ways to get your home winter-ready…
A soft blanket always does the trick- make it LOOK as cozy as it feels.
2). A beautiful chandelier will quickly warms up any space in your home. I loved this light from ParrotUncle.
3- Find lights that warm your home and brighten in it… lightening creates a mood, making your home bright and cheery or warm and cozy.
4. A pebble tray is an easy way to catch the snow or rain from your boots.
5- Decorate your door – all winter long. You can find lights like these here.
6. Spheres of grapevines wrapped in Christmas lights look beautiful on bird baths.
7- Don’t be afraid to use OLD things… (If you don’t have an outdoor pole, I suggest this post light)
GETTING YOUR HOME READY FOR WINTER:
8- Don’t be afraid to use white in the winter and fall… it is beautiful. (I love black chandeliers, too!)
9- Check to be sure that your rooms are evenly heated.
When we first moved to our house, our daughter’s room was so much hotter than the other rooms. My husband and my dad had to adjust the dampers several times before we got it just right. They adjust them again in the summertime.
10- Keep it fun for your family!
I had to throw this one in, because we have four kids. I have these lamps and put them in our kid’s rooms, on their desk. They love it and it lets off enough light to combat those dark nights that come earlier and earlier!
