Right now is that time of year where our kids are waking up to the chilly morning weather, but coming home from school in the warm heat of there afternoon. It is hard to know how to dress them for this type of weather, so I wanted to give you a few options.
1- Let your child leave a long-sleeved shirt in his or her backpack. I love light weight ones because it allows them to run around at recess and not feel overheated if it warms up: Our boys LOVE Underarmour, so this is our next Zappos.com purchase. It is the perfect choice to keep in their backpack, cubby or locker…
2- Let them wear high socks: Our kids love them, anyways, but they are great because if they are cold, they pull them up. If they are warm, they roll them down. These little socks from Zappos.com are a great choice (and they are affordable!)
3- Light-weight pants. Any pants that are light-weight are going to work well, because they aren’t heavy enough to be hot when it is warm and they aren’t thin enough for your kids to be cold when the weather is chilly. They are just right.
4. Jeans- The preschool director told us that we should send in an extra pair of jeans and a T-shirt, because they will work in the winter or summer. She suggests all students keep an extra outfit with the child’s teacher. Here are the jeans that we want to get:
4- Send them in pants that turn into shorts! This is another easy solution, as long as your child is responsible enough to put the bottoms of these pants into their backpack to bring home. I think that our boys would LOVE this option!
All of these are perfect for back to school weather. I suggest trying out zappos.com because they have a lot of different choices and our kids love them all (the main reason that we did our back to school shopping here!)
