This amazing trip to Atlanta, Georgia was part of a sponsored post by Wet Ones as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

My husband and I wanted to surprise our kids, so we took an impromptu trip to Atlanta, Georgia (we were taking them to Six Flags and they didn’t have any idea!)

We were already in Hilton Head, on a vacation (by the way, if you go to Hilton Head, you have to check out the 11-mile-long canoe tours given by Palmetto Dunes.  They were awesome!)

So, we left on a Saturday and made our way to Atlanta!   We stayed at the most amazing hotel.  It was seriously beautiful and awesome and so much more!   We stayed at the Marriot Marquis.   If you are staying in Atlanta, this is the place to stay – seriously!
The manager was so kind and helpful and the staff was equally as wonderful!  I would suggest everyone stay there if they make a trip to Atlanta!

This was our room (with a murphy bed):

If you stay there, you have to stop by the sports bar for dinner.  We got their sampler and it was awesome- it has so much food for $36  (the 8 sliders alone would have been enough, but the food just kept coming!)

Don’t forget to check out the pool, too!   Its an indoor-outdoor pool and our kids loved it!

So, the real reason that we went was because we were going to Six Flags (and surprising the kids!)
They were really excited!!

Our kids had a BLAST at Six Flags!   The favorite ride of the day were the Hanson Cars.   They kids had so much fun on these rides (and so did everyone else that we saw riding them – check out this family… they had their little boy driving, too, just like we did!)

We ate lunch there and spent the whole day there.  (We got the refillable drink bottle- it was so worth it!)

We rode the swings, too … this has always been one of my very favorite rides!

I only took the essentials into the park… Camera, Phone, Wet Ones.   Here are 5 things that you don’t want to forget when you go to Six Flags…

5 things you don't want to forget an an amusement park

In case I didn’t already tell you enough, I have to have my Wet Ones on every trip! haha!   They  kill 99.99% of bacteria when soap and water aren’t available (trust me that you do not want to have to run into a bathroom every time that your kids are going to eat a snack or after they touch something dirty).   Plus they are hypoallergenic and contain aloe and lanolin so they’re easy on skin for even the littlest of hands.   Since they come in little travel sizes, my husband threw a pack into his pocket, so we could have them all day.   We took the 20 count travel pack.   (I keep the 40 count canister in my car).    You can pick them up at most stores.

On our last day, we stopped by the Georgia Aquarium!  It was really fun, too!

Look at this Albino Alligator that we saw… up close & personal!

All in all, our trip to Atlanta, Georgia was awesome!!  The kids had a wonderful time and so did we!
