If you are looking to buy new clothes at retail stores at consignment prices, you have come to the right place!  Here are some great tips to save money on clothes…

Let me tell you that EVERYTHING will go on sale. You just have to be patient. Read on to find tips to save money on clothes.
My best example is a Kohls deal…

That $50 sweater that you like now will go to 75% off at the end of the season.  A month later there will be a “take another 25% off of lowest price” on that sweater and when you combine that with the offer that you get in the mail (ex: Kohls 30% off)… you will get that $50 sweater for just a few dollars.  My mom went shopping today & did just this.  She bought such a variety of things: clothing, household items, shoes, toys… and spent hardly anything.  Plus, she got $10 for every $50 (Kohls Cash), so now they are paying her to come back!

When I was there last week, I bought $70 flats for $6!  What a great deal.  The best part is that they had them in two colors, so I bought both.  Again- clearance!

You do have to use your credit card for a lot of the sales at most stores (only because the extra 30% off coupon is for a credit card purchase during the sales) but they let you pay it off right away.  I have never paid interest on a credit card & neither has my husband.   If we can’t afford to buy it & pay it off that day, we don’t buy it.  This is the only way that you can stay afloat & get ahead.

The best time to buy is after a holiday. For example, on January 1st, the Christmas items as Target went to 90% off. They sell things that I would not consider to be “holiday items” during this sale. I just went to Target last week & bought all of my items at 90% off.  I purchased three matching adorable blue kid’s hats (the golfers hats) for 99 cents each. I bought red lipgloss for 17 cents because they had it in the Christmas section because it was red.   There was so much more: cake mix, M&M’s, toys, flashlights, red dresses for little girls, wooden “build your own” projects for kids…. You can’t beat that!  Shop all year round.  Look for deals.  (I like to try to get my items on sale for more than 70%).

Save Money by buying out of season.  We all know this rule, but how many of us actually do it?  I do!  I buy our kid’s pants, shorts, tops and more now, while they are on clearance (buy winter clothes in the spring and summer clothes in the fall)  and I will store them for 6 months until I need them.   You can easily save 90% on everything this way!
