I LOVE sweet potato fries, especially when they come with a delicious dip!

Our kids love to help me make this because it is just about impossible to NOT do it correctly, which means that those little hands can make mistakes and no one will know! I think that HOW we make our food is just as important as WHAT we make because quality time with your kids is so very important. On the same note, research proves over and over again about the importance of eating dinner (or a meal) together. I wrote about this in the past, you can read it here.

If you use sweet potatoes from scratch, just follow the same directions.   Or you can buy Ore-Ida Sweet Potato Fries.  They are the best quality and they have the most natural ingredients.  It’s an easy alternative.

INGREDIENTS:

Ore-Ida Sweet Potato Fries.

1/2 stick butter

1 cup sugar

3 T cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

Cook the Fries According to Directions on the package or you can try baking them in an air fryer.

SAUCE:

Heat over low-med heat until melted and begins to crystallize.

Set in a little bowl (allow it to cool before using it) or just pour it right over your fries.

You can even top it with a little more sugar or brown sugar.

Wow- so good! Enjoy your Sweet potato fries with cinnamon & sugar dipping sauce!

Ore-Ida® uses only 100% fresh, American grown potatoes for their French Fries and Tater Tot® Potatoes. It’s quality you can feel good about, and the convenience you need in your busy life. Visit oreida.com for more great recipe ideas and to learn more!

  1. Tried the sauce….it’s more of a glaze. 1/2 stick of butter with a whole cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons of cinnamon was way too much, it was not a sauce at all. Sorry, this just does not work. Is there a typo in the recipe?
