The other day, Mickey and I were looking through pictures of our kids.   I can’t believe how much they have changed!  We found this one of Allie eating her first piece of Corn on the Cob.  Something about it is so sweet to me.  I think it reminds me of being young.

Do you remember eating certain meals with your family?   I remember my brother and I peeling corn on the back porch, over a garbage can.   My husband said that he remembers doing the same thing.

Do you ever find yourself thinking back when you see your kids doing something that you did?  Sometimes I can remember how I felt NO worry and NO stress during that time.   I love knowing that we are giving our kids that same sense of security.   They know that they are taken care of and they don’t have to worry about a thing.

I know kids in other countries aren’t always so fortunate. In fact, every 20 seconds, a child in a developing country dies of a vaccine-preventable disease, many of them before age 5. That’s why I’m participating in Blogust this year – please share or comment on this blog post, and for each share and comment, MAM will donate a much-needed vaccine to a child in a developing country!

Blogust is a month-long digital dialogue, bringing together many of the most beloved online writers, photo and video bloggers and Shot@Life Champions to change the world through inspirational imagery and storytelling. This year marks the fifth year of Blogust helping kids around the world reach their fifth birthday thanks to the power of global vaccines.

The Blogust 2016 digital relay participants will be sharing the story behind #TBT baby photos or videos of themselves, their kid(s) or a side-by-side comparison at important milestones – from first steps or first smile to fifth birthday. Every parent everywhere should be able to experience these milestones, which is why every like, comment and social media share their posts receive (up to 30,000 throughout the month of August 2016) will trigger a donation by MAM to help provide a vaccine for a child in need around the world.

I’d love to see your #TBT photos, too!
