I have worked with Family Dollar in the past and today I am teaming up with them again to share some great fall inspiration ideas with you in today’s sponsored post. I hope that you love them!
“Mom? Are you going to change the table now? It’s September!” I get this every single month, because every month I change the decor in our dining room to something new and festive. We rarely eat in that room, except if the kids come home with a special award, such as “Student of the Week” or “Student of the Month” … these times call for a celebration. The kids love saving that room for something special.
It’s funny, but the first time that we ate in there, our son actually said “What? We can eat in that room?” He thought it was like the living room- you just don’t eat in there. haha!! Since then, we’ve tried to remember to use it for MORE special occasions and not just a few times a year. 😉
It comes as no surprise that when the Family Dollar ad came in the paper, I loved the look of their fall tablescape (and the prices), so I knew that I wanted to recreate something similar.
First, I looked into their Smart Coupons to see what I could find. Using the new digital coupon clipping program, Smart Coupons, I was able to save $1.00 on a Swiffer Refill (Tip: I use Swiffer refill pads to dust furniture, so I use them in this room all of the time!). You can sign up for Smart Coupons here. It’s such a simple way to save on your shopping trip!
So, I took their idea of the fall floral ($3.00) and turned it into a beautiful centerpiece.
I liked the look of their fall dishes and was able to make TWO fall tablescapes from their ideas & products:
This Lazy Susan was a gift made by my mom last year.
Getting the right look is all about layering, in my opinion. Keep layering until you have added enough interest.
