This clean recipe for a Avocado, Black Bean & Lime Wrap is fantastic!  It takes less than five minutes to prepare and it is always delicious!

Avocado, Black Bean & Lime Wrap (CLEAN EATING)

I love to use avocados when I can because they are really healthy! I started using them when I would feed our baby (they are a great first food!) but now we eat them every week.  Avocados contain naturally good monounsaturated fat. Naturally good fats are an important part of a healthy diet (Good fat in avocado can replace saturated fat).   You can find more awesome info on how they are cholesterol and sodium free and more right here.

Did you know that in just 1/5 of an avocado you are gaining 20 vitamins, minerals & phytonutrients?   Whats better than a nutrient booster, right?

INGREDIENTS:
avacado 1
Hass Avocados
1-2 cans black beans (rinse & drain)… we use one can if it is just for the two of us.
1 lime
3-4 wraps

 THE RECIPE:
First, you get your Hass Avocados & cut them in half

Take the seed out…

Throw out the seed and scoop out the middle of the avocado:

Mash it in a bowl:

Add in your RINSED AND DRAINED black beans

Squeeze half of a lemon over the mixture:

Mix:

Put part of the mixture in a wrap (this is the tomato & spinach wrap, but any wrap or tortilla shell will do nicely…).

Wrap it up:

That’s all there is too it- it is SO healthy, so you will love it.  It tastes great, so your family will love it…
PS- to get it to stay inside, fold up the sides, like in the picture below…

  7. So true! I liked the tip that children are little sponges and do learn from you! They will want to eat what you eat! My children eat everything because they have learned to eat what is on the table. At the age of 1 & 3 they love fruits and vegetables and green smoothies. We went to Sweet Tomatoes ( a salad buffet) and our little 1 year old (almost 2) ate a huge plate of vegetables. A lady walking by was completely surprised at all he ate. Of course, they love icecream, but only in moderation (because we give it to them). :0)

  8. The most important tip is about sleep! I once went through a bout of insomnia and didn’t sleep for 4 days. I definitely felt like I was going to die!

    1. Oh – are you serious? That would be TERRIBLE! I skipped a day after our son was born, but never 4 days.
