The next time you head over to visit a new mom and her baby, think about a unique way that you can be an encouragement to her. Perhaps it is a physical gift or it may even be the gift of your time.

(1) If the mama is a nursing mom, gift her with a basket of goodies to assist.

(2) Encourage the new mom with some helpful books.

(3) Put together a survival kit for a new mom.

(4) Take her older kids out for a playdate.

(5) A breakfast basket is the cutest idea- all moms love some caffeine!

(6) A growth chart is a gift that is a great memory keeper.

(7) Print off some beautiful encouraging verses.

(8) A swaddle blanket is always helpful for new moms.

This one is my favorite blanket… I honestly tell EVERYONE about this blanket.  I just LOVED it.  You can grab it here on Amazon.

  1. Love this post, I was given a personalised baby bean bag at my baby shower and I honestly couldn’t live without out, the baby loves and it sends her right to sleep! The sweet thing is, is that it was personalised!

  2. There are some wonderful ideas here. There’s nothing better than adding your own touch to a gift. I purchased my best friend a moses basket and adding a little handmade pillow inside, I was so chuffed with myself!
