A few weeks ago,  Under Armour contacted me about their School Uniforms that will be available in June on underarmour.com and at select Under Armour Factory House Stores. It was perfect timing, because on the same day, we found out that my niece and nephew were accepted into a school where they would be wearing school uniforms. I taught at a school where the kids had to wear uniforms every day.  I loved that there wasn’t the worry of what to wear and who wore what… it was just simpler.  Like a great game- it boils down to the heart of the players in the game.

Being an athlete is in their DNA. Being a teacher is in mine. When you combine these two worlds, you have a successful person- a student with drive. A child with a love of learning, like a teacher, and self-discipline and yearning to succeed, like an athlete.

Here are 10 reasons why I love the uniforms:

1- They are performance based, fashionable, and they align with school uniform requirements for both boys and girls.

2- Under Armour School Uniform Polos are all stain resistant, machine washable, and will not shrink or fade. (this is a MUST when you wash your kids clothing as much as we do!)

3- COLORS! Uniform Polos come in short and long sleeves, in colors glory blue, jet stream, red, and white.

4- It is discrete. Most uniforms need to be tucked in, so Under Armour has placed the logo on the hem instead of the left chest of the polo, so it can be tucked in and meet the school uniform requirements.

5- Uniform Bottoms are also stain resistant, machine washable, have adjustable waistband and two-way stretch to provide you comfort when you are sitting in the classroom or playing at recess.

6- Boys Uniform Bottoms come in slim fit uniform chino shorts and pants. Both have hidden zippered technology side pockets.

7- Girls Uniform Bottoms come in uniform skinny stretch Bermuda short, skinny stretch chino pant, and stretch twill skort.

8- All boys and girl Uniform Bottoms come in regular and husky/plus sizes in colors desert sand and glory blue.

9- Under Armour clothes are built to last. Last week, one of our kids’ friends asked me if I worked for Under Armour. I said “Well, no. I write for them at times, but I don’t really work for them. Why?” and he said “Everyone in your family wears it every day.” My answer was simple “We spend money on things that last, honey. It has to get passed down three times, so it is important that we buy what is going to hold up.” 🙂

10- Comfortable. Fashion doesn’t top comfort when it comes to an 8 hour school day. Luckily, these uniforms are both.   Find out more here.

  1. I’m so excited about this and my little box is still 2 years away from needing uniforms! Our area public school requires uniforms and my hubby has been crabby about it because they aren’t “cool”. Looking forward to these as an option!
