With four kids, it goes without saying that I’m always busy. I live by two rules: to always take care of myself and to always take care of others. Of course the taking care of others part comes from my life as a mom. But sometimes it’s really hard to take care of myself the way I need to.  Today, I’ve teamed up with Merck Consumer to share this sponsored post.  They have created a free app (non-profit, ad-free app for parents) that makes taking care of myself just a little bit easier, so I wanted to share it with you.

One of the best things about this Merck Manual Consumer App is that it helps to stay organized. All of my medical questions, advice, and information can be found in one place. So if I have questions to ask my doctor or even the kids’ doctor, I can sort different pieces of information into favorites. That way I always have the topics on-hand when it comes time for checkups or in-between visits due to illness or injury.
app2Merck Consumer also makes it super easy to share information. If I’m at the doctor’s office with one (or all) of the kids, I can easily send information to my husband so we are both up-to-date on what’s going on with the kids. Whether it’s information on immunizations or common tests, I can send off the information to him to keep us both in the know.

Staying organized is an absolute must with a large family. It’s impossible to remember everything all the time, so having another tool at my disposal to help keep everything organized is invaluable. The Merck Consumer app helps do that and is a great reference guide to have on-hand for everything from cuts and scrapes to broken bones. The best part? The app is absolutely free! If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can download the app at the iTunes store right here. Android users can get the app from the Google Play store right here.

The free app is perfect for busy lives on the go. Whether you need a quick reference on side effects of a particular medication or a rundown of certain diagnostic tests, it’s all right there. It isn’t full of ads, either, and does not collect any personal information. For me, as a busy mom on the go, it is an absolute lifesaver.

Hi there!

I’m Becky, a former elementary school teacher turned certified child development therapist and blogger. I work at home with my husband and together we are raising (and partially homeschooling) our four children in the Carolinas. I love diet coke, ice cream, and spending time with my family.
