Have you ever had a conversation with your child and you think “Are we talking about the same thing here?”

take toddler to lunch

Yesterday I asked Allie if she wanted Peanut Butter & Jelly for lunch.

No.

I went through our normal list:

Turkey sandwich?

No.

Oatmeal and fruit?

No.

Fruit & yogurt parfait?

No.

Finally, when we had about 3 minutes left before we had to leave I said, desperately “Allie.  Please pick something” to which she replied…

“I just wanted peanut butter & jelly, Mom.’

WHAT?!

Yep… that about sums this next video up.  I think it is hilarious because it pretty much relates to all of us!  In this video, my friend Illana takes her daughter out to eat… and then she takes many other toddlers and preschoolers. (Thank goodness for Go & Grow by Similac Food Mix-Ins to sprinkle on her daughter’s food… we love it in our house, too!)

I’m pretty sure that if I took our kids out, it would be the same thing.  We literally eat at the same restaurant each week because Allie loves their sweet potato fries so much and she asks for them at every restaurant (while most others done have them).   I love that she used Go & Grow by Similac Food Mix-Ins to sprinkle on her daughter’s rice. Check out their website for free samples (while supplies last), store locators and more information about how Mix-Ins helps your child maintain balanced nutrition.

It is a little mix-in that the kid’s can’t even taste. Each single-serve powder packet has OptiGRO, a unique blend of DHA, lutein and vitamin E, along with protein, fiber and essential vitamins and minerals.  It was created by Abbott to help toddlers maintain balanced nutrition while they  are learning to eat new foods. Thanks to Similac for partnering with us on this post & letting me share this hilarious video with you!
