Supplements for immune support and speech delays.  THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST.  I JUST WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU BECAUSE IT WORKED FOR US.

Speech Delay

I wanted to share this supplement that I SWEAR BY is Balanced Essential for our kids.
Our neurologist (our son’s neurologist) is known for being the best in the area – he helps children will all sorts of neurologic issues. He has over a year waiting list and is currently not even taking new patients, but we happened to get in four years ago when he had an opening.

He has helped us through a LOT of issues that we were dealing with with our son. He refereed us to surgeons that have been wonderful, therapists that have made a world of difference, and he even answers my e-mails when I have a quick question!

So, when our son was going down-hill, due to his poor nutrition (he could not tolerate any food and his body literally resisted it- see that story here), started having sensory issues and had a speech delay, he told us to try this vitamin supplement: Balanced Essentials.

He said that lack of nutrition and vitamins can cause all of those things.

He also told me NOT to use the store-bought chewable vitamins that everyone gets because many of them don’t get absorbed properly and they contain dyes & additives, which is not good for our children’s growing bodies and brains. I did find a chewable alternative that fit the criteria of what we needed in a vitamin (because the Balanced Essentials tastes like the vitamins they took as infants)

He also told us to start juicing, too, which we try to do daily. We bought this juicer…  (because it was pretty inexpensive & does a great job)

We buy the day-old fruit at Harris Teeter or produce at Aldis, bring it home & make juice. Juicing can get expensive, but it is a quick way to get spinach and other fruits and vegetables into our kids. (Add apples and it will make everything taste good!)

Back to Balanced Essentials: it has everything that kids would be getting IF they eat a very balanced diet. (It is great for grown-ups, too)
This Balanced Essesntials has:
• 94 Vital Nutrients
• 12 Natural Vitamins
• 17 Amino Acids
• Omega 3,6,9
• 62 Major & Trace Minerals
• 10 Phytonutrient Rich Plants

I give it to all of our kids now (he told us to do 1 ounce a day per child, but please follow the directions on the bottle & check with your pediatrian first). We saw immediate results from this vitamin. Our son’s speech picked up so quickly that we were amazed- he was going to get speech therapy & after this he didn’t need it anymore. Really! (Again, his body rejected EVERY food and drink for years.

It is amazing that his body could even sustain itself). His muscles became less tense (he has something called Hypertonia- Increased muscle tone). It has been fantastic for him and for all of our kids.

It gives me a peace of mind when they only eat one bite of vegetables at dinner, instead of all of it (or 1 pea- if you are our two-year old!)

I tell everyone about it! If your child is picky or if you notice any sort of delay, this worked wonders and I order it (I currently have two bottles in our fridge- so that we don’t run out!)

Balanced Essentials

I keep two in my refrigerator because I do not want to run out! It was expensive to get two bottles at once but you get MUCH more for your money because it is a big bottle and lasts for months. The kids line up to take it – our two year old calls it his “Spidermans” (Too hard to say Vitamins, I guess! haha!)

      1. Hello there! I want to know if there’s Balance Essentials available in the Philippines? I wanted to try it with my daughters too. Thank you!

        1. I’m not sure- we buy it from Amazon (I just ordered a new bottle last night) 🙂

          1. Becky, thanks for the info. My daughter has ADHD and a mild speech delay at times. She’s been on balanced essentials for 1 month, thanks to your story. It’s really great, and it helps, because she’s finicky and she gets her nutrients now. Her speech is perfect!!!! 👌🏾

  2. This is great information. My son is 3 and has a speech delay so I’m going to try your suggestions. I currently use Animal Parade but will try the Balanced Essentials. As far as the elderberry syrup is concerned, how often do you give this to your children and have you seen any side effects? Thanks again for the great post.

  3. I am genuinely thankful to the owner of this web page who has shared this great article at here.

  4. Good day! I just want to give you a huge thumbs up for the great information you’ve got here on this post.
I’ll be returning to your web site for more soon.

  5. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a
colleague who had been doing a little research on this.

And he actually ordered me breakfast simply because I
found it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!!

But yeah, thanx for spending time to talk about this issue here on your blog.

  6. Hi, how old was your son when you gave him the Balance Essential? My son is 23 mos, smart but also is going for eval bec of speech delay they said. He also barely eats, no veggie no fruit only rice which is nothing really. But he doesn’t look he don’t eat, but I should know.

      1. Hello! How much do you give you’re child per day? My daughter is 21 months and I just bought it for her. Do you give your child 1 oz per day?
        Thanks! Lindsay

        1. We started at 1/2 ounce until he was older, but I’d talk to your dr.

    1. My son will only eat rice also. I am definitely going to try balanced essentials. I pray this works.

  7. Hi- Thanks for sharing the information. My daughter is 3 and has some expressive and receptive speech delays. I just ordered the Balanced Essentials vitamins. There is no separate dosage for children so I was thinking of giving 1/2 ounce- how much do you give your two year old?

    1. I fill it up to the first little line in the cap. (the first ridge in the cap). I think its an ounce (from what our Dr. had told us), but 1/2 ounce would be good for a 2 year old, I think.

      1. My daughter is 3, she turns 4 in December, she has speech/ language delay. Are there recommended foods I can implement in her diet (for breakfast, lunch, and snacks)

        1. I would suggest adding in as many fruits & vegetables as possible.
As far as the delay goes, using a straw for foods like applesauce can help to strengthen her oral muscles.

  8. I just ordered the vitamins to help with sensory and speech delay! I am so thankful I found this on pinterest! I can’t wait to see the benefits!

    1. I hope that it works for you- we still use it (its been about 5 years). I use it with all 4 of our kids now. 🙂

  9. What kind of juicing do you recommend. Sometimes my kids know that I an ‘up’ to something in the kitchen. Any recommended combinations?
    TIA

    1. Anything with apples tastes great. So I’ll combine carrots, grapes, a handful of spinach & a few apples.

The only thing that seems to be too strong in the juicer is celery. It seems to ‘take over’ in flavor & the kids won’t drink it. 🙂

  10. Hi my son is 5 years old and suspected having apraxia. What dosage is good for 5 year old. He is smart and a good boy but he gets frustrated trying to tell us something.

    Thank you

    1. We just do 1 oz. for all four of our kids (one oz. each – we fill it to the lowest line on the cap), but I’d check w/ your dr. 🙂

      1. Hi! I was wondering if you think it would be ok to mix 1 ounce in my son’s v8 fruit juice? Do you think it would lessen the affects?

  11. Hi.after searchinh by google supplement for speech delay.i came across reading your blog.thanks so much..and now i hv bought the supplement.and thanks god i can see the improvement within a week.i almost cry when i saw my 3y son ask for a noodle..for many years he refused to eat and hv some speech delay..
And now he start to eat like others..asking for banana..apple..and other foods.tq so much for a very good sharing about this supplement..

      1. How long do you have to give them the supplement for? My daughter is 2 yrs 9 months

    1. I just purchased the supplement the other day. Planning on starting this week. My son is 16 months old and has a food/touch sensory issue and does not say any words on a regular basis. He will say a word here and there but nothing consistent. I CANNOT wait until the moment he starts eating real food. Right now he does not eat or touch anything wet or sticky in texture. So lots of dry crunchy snacks with milk. Crossing my fingers. 🙂

  12. I read your blog some time last year and it had much more information to it like the other vitamin chewables you suggest, but now it’s not seeable. You mention about the chewable vitamin to see at the bottom, but there is nothing about a chewable vitamin or the rest of the post I saw before at the bottom. Can you please inform me on what am I missing? :/

Thank you for this great post in general!

  13. Can you recommend a chewable version (sorry I couldn’t find it on the page) – my son refuses liquid vitamins or any liquid sort of medication. Thanks for all the info! 2years and 4 months and he only says the first few letters of about 4 words. But completely understands everything we say. Thanks for your guidance!

      1. Great! We’re in South Africa so buying on amazon is an option for us! Thanks again!

        1. Hi lanell. Just checking.. I’m from South Africa too. Amazon doesn’t deliver liquids overseas. How did u get urs? Have u seen any results after using it?

          Pops

  14. Thank you so much for sharing this information. We have a 2.5yr old little guy who is sharp as a whippet but has an expressive language delay. He has also been a picky eater from the beginning. I just ordered 2 bottles of BE off Amazon.ca….crossing my fingers it will give him the fuel he needs to push through these barriers.

  15. Hello, my son is refusing to eat the balanced essentials.. Do you think it would be ok to mix it with some juice?
