Should I start a blog?   So many times, I get this question.  Why did you start a blog?  Should I start one, too?  Why?
I am partnering with Sway Group for this sponsored post to share the reasons why I love working with them & why I love blogging…. oh and by the way…

Today is the SWAY GROUP’s 5th birthday!!
blog
There are many people in this online world, but the women at Sway Group are among my favorite.  I can’t go into how much they go outside of their way to be kind, generous and helpful (literally- they care about my family like no company or online group that I’ve ever met).
So… Happy Birthday to you, Sway Group.   To help you celebrate, I want to give you my 5 favorite parts of blogging.
1- The lives I reach from home.
I receive emails almost daily from people in different countries commenting on posts that I’ve written.   I am always amazed and gracious that people are reading my blog.  What an honor to be a part of your day.
2- Working with great brands.
I work with an amazing group of women, The Sits Girls, and through them and their company, Sway Group, I have been able to connect with brands.   This means that Sway Group contacts me to connect me with the brand.  From there, I write about my experience with that brand.   To understand what I mean, here are a few of my favorites:
3- Compensation.
Blogging started as a means to share information to others, but has developed into a business for my family.   My husband works with me (as my finance manager)            and we run my blog and his blog from home (he works with the Sway Group, too.)

4. BOOKS!

It is because of blogging that I wrote my first book, Potty Train in a Weekend.  It has been the most amazing thing to be able to tell other parents that it doesn’t have to be stressful.   From there, I went on to write several other books, as well.

5. Other bloggers.
I have met So many amazing people via blogging (like the Sits Girls that I mentioned earlier).  I think some of my greatest friends are now bloggers.  We share and read each other’s things.  It is such an honor to be in such a wonderful community.

If you are interested in learning more about blogging, I have a page dedicated to starting a blog.  From there, I have another website about blogging and even several books about it.  🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWAY GROUP!!

Hi there!

I’m Becky, a former elementary school teacher turned certified child development therapist and blogger. I work at home with my husband and together we are raising (and partially homeschooling) our four children in the Carolinas. I love diet coke, ice cream, and spending time with my family.
