These protein cookies with M&M’s are so good!  You see, our kids love to have sweet treats, but we really try to limit it.  I don’t like to give them cookies or candy when they can have fruits and vegetables instead.   On the other hand, I don’t want to ignore all of their requests (I don’t want to have our kids sneaking food, because I wouldn’t let them have any when they asked… I’ve seen them do that before!)

This recipe provides the best of both worlds.  It is full of protein and nutrients, but it gives them a little bite of something sweet mixed into it, so everyone is happy (mom & the kids!)

Ingredients:
1/4 c. walnuts or pecans
Almond Butter
Oats
Trail Mix with nuts & M&Ms  (separate the raisins and M&M’s to save for the end)
Fruit Trail mix
Granola

I usually keep them in a air-tight container in the refrigerator.

To keep them in the 100 calorie range, I just keep them at a snack size. 🙂  They are VERY healthy!
