I love shopping for outdoor decor for our porches.  Last week we talked about decorating an outdoor space and I shared my screened in porch with you, so today I wanted to show you our front porch.

Here are a few tips when thinking about your porch (the first thing that people see when they walk up to your home).

1- Stand out pieces.   I love bird houses or bird cages as part of the Outdoor Decor Collections on a front porch.  I fill mine with mini pumpkins in the fall, Christmas Tree bulbs in December, Flowers in the spring… go beyond thinking that it has to actually have anything to do with birds.

2. Add a vase. This is one of my favorites.  It is so beautiful as a vase.  I love to use it outdoors and even inside.   I think that it just gives a clean look, because it is white, and it doesn’t take up much eye space because of the holes in it (gives the illusion of looking like it takes up less space.)

3. Shop where you can get the most bang for your buck.  The beauty of an outdoor space is that you can make it whatever you want it to be.  I love to shop at At Home because everything is priced right, so I don’t feel bad changing my mind every season (or every month) with outdoor decor.

4. Have seating that everyone loves.  You can find plenty of seating options in the At Home Patio section.  We have these wooden rockers, given to us as a gift from my parents.   I think that as long as you have something comfortable and welcoming, you can’t go wrong. Seating is a must for Outdoor Entertaining

  1. With spring here, we are looking for some ways to add some style to our yard. These are some great ideas. I especially like your idea of having a bird house on the front porch. You could really make this festive for any season. Thanks for sharing!
