I wanted to make this minion pancake recipe because the Minions movie is hitting theaters on July 10 and our kids are excited (we will probably do it for their special nights)!   We stocked up on our Bounty Minions Prints paper towels (available at stores nationwide), all of our ingredients for this Crazy Pancake Recipe (no eggs or butter) and blueberries.   I’m excited because the NEW Bounty Minions Prints launched,  just in time for summer break, which means more time to make meaningful messes with your kids.

Recipe:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 blueberry
  • Bounty Paper Towels (you’ll need them for the mess you’ll create!)

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and then add in your wet ingredients.
Continue to mix with a whisk until well combined.

tip: When making these pancakes, we cooked them on our electric griddle without any non-stick spray.  The non-stick spray made them look “blotchy”, but when we wiped the pan clean with our Bounty Minion Paper Towels and started over without the spray,  they looked much more ‘smooth’ (that is the best way that I can think to put it).

Follow this video to make your minion:  (thanks to my husband for helping me make the actual pancakes… to say that he has more of an artistic flare than me would be putting it mildly….)

tip:   Cook until the bubbles come through and then flip and cook the other side until lightly golden.   (don’t make them too thick or the inside may not cook all the way through).

When you are finished, clean up with your NEW Bounty Minions Prints (they have the absorbency of America’s favorite quicker picker upper and the fun of Minions rolled into one) and let your kids have Minion Napkins (because syrup gets messy!).  They will love the fact that they are eating Minion Pancakes with Minion napkins!  Mine certainly did!

ps- remember to ask your kids to help you clean up.  Teach your kids accountability and inspire them to help clean up messes with NEW Bounty Minions Prints.  It’s fun & you are teaching them an important lesson.   Enjoy!
