5 things to take on a play date:
5 things you want on a play date

1- Camera. There have been so many times when our kids have been playing with their friends and they stop to do something adorable (like protecting baby sister!) and I think “Oh man! I wish I had my camera today!”

2- Vita Coco Kids (awesome easy-to-grab drink)– This is a coconut water drink that our kids LOVE! It is low on sugar & calories, so its a quick drink to throw in my purse or diaper bag for a play date. It doesn’t have any artificial sweetners, flavors or preservatives (yay!!) so I like it for that reason.
Ps- its great for sports, too, because it has natural electrolytes. It was handpicked by Target for the Made To Matter Program too!

3- Spare clothes – SO MANY TIMES our kids get dirty or wet (I seriously think that they are just attracted to water… puddles, water fountains, etc…) and I am always glad to find a spare set in my car.

4- Snacks- Just grab a lunch box & fill it with fruits & veggies. My friend Mandy does this and now we do it, too. She just throws in apples, carrots & oranges. The kids are hungry at play dates and they will take whatever is offered, so offer the best!

5- RULES!  Before we get anywhere, we go over the rules.  What can we do? What should we not do? How do we talk to our friends? How do we act around our friends. You have to “take your rules” with you wherever you go and soon your kids will just know what to expect.

Join me in the social media photo contest! You could win a $50 gift card that will help you stock up on Vita Coco Kids for back to school (they are perfect for a lunch box!). To enter, just post pictures with the #HydrationEducationhashtag showing how your kiddos are getting ready to go back to school with Vita Coco Kids products, recipes, fun downloads, or even their own “Vita Coco Kids Family Hits” Pandora Radio Station. A monthly winner will be selected during the months of August and September. Good luck!!
